This year we got asked to do a paint lesson for an annual Christmas get together. Which happened to be a gift from a fellow paint partier to her friends. So much fun and blessed to be asked to instruct this Rustic Winter Barn scene. I loved this paint party because it was a special request by my friend and past high school teacher. Being able to share what I do with her and her friends was a blessing. This painting starts with a small penciled sketch helping plan where the barn would be marked out, eyeballing was perfect too. Following the sketch, in order, we started with the sky, to the first layer of snow, barn, trees, finally the wreath and ending with stippling of the holiday snow. This was a real treat, and a beautiful hand painted art piece for everyone to hang for years to come. Thanks for the memories ladies. Cheers!
